Moreover, i believe that verizon may have the combination of both structures since it is a very big organization which is more of a mechanical structure trait. However, this company has a team based approach where employees at lower levels are involved in decision making which we do not see in a mechanical structure. As an organic structure, verizon is dependent on research development but i would say the level of administration is flat meaning that there are only few levels of management and the employees have an easy way of providing ideas. The organization has a very low formalization due to the fact that they have the flexibility to be creative and are able to use individual discretion.
