Culture is the system of meanings about the nature of experience that is shared by a people and passed from one generation to another. Is it possible to see the world through the eyes of others: image of two different men. A picture of an actor, i. e. brad pitt and a man from tribe with a lot of face makeup. Acculturation is the process by which a human being acquires the culture of a particular society, usually from infancy. Ethnocentrism: the tendency to judge the beliefs and behaviours of other cultures from the perspective of one"s own culture, conviction that our beliefs and behaviours are true, while those of other peoples are wrong or misguided. Other cultures have their own value and meaning systems that are best understood from an insider"s perspective.
