How human dignity and rights and responsibilities connects to mahatma gandhi. The catholic social justice human dignity is connected to gandhi because gandhi believed that human life is sacred; all he wanted was for indians to be free from british control. Gandhi believed the british didn"t follow human dignity and were not honoring indians. Human dignity says that all people are created in the image and likeness of god and therefore are equal in the eyes of god. However, the british didn"t see indians as equal to them and so gandhi realized something needed to be done so he peacefully solved the situation. His actions were devoted to the principles of human dignity. Rights and responsibilities are also a social justice teaching that is related to gandhi because his motives were to grant india independence. He wanted all indians to have rights of their own that were not enforced by the british.
