Represented as prizes, prizes of western colonial culture. Male colonisers who orignally captured women from other cultures and used them as prizes or property. Used them as a way to define themselves as colonists and define their power. How desire is linked to power and how the control and subjection of indigenous people through colonization infiltrates the way we think of sexuality, power and desire.
