Diaspora is associated with a particular kind of vulnerability there is aministry for diasporas, and different citizenship rules to gain citizenships to another country even if u were bring in canada. Immigrant dosnt help us to explain how the world works, a symbolic connection and roots is really important, people who go to a country and pick up soil because they havnt been there in a long time. Diaspora and transnationalism helps us understand and think about the different types of classifications we use. International trades, mobility is so much faster now, you write letters but now you do it through the internet or skype, kinds of communications forces us to think of how people make communities.
