DNA Replication
DNA is replicated in a semi conservative fashion – that is each daughter DNA has one
strand from the parent and one is newly replicated.
DNA replication:
The template strand is in opposite direction to the growing DNA strand. (DNA is
synthesized in a 5’ to 3’ direction). The 3’ OH on the last nucleotide on the growing
strand reacts with the α phosphate of the incoming dNTP.
