All students who miss the final examination must petition if they are seeking deferred standing. No student will be accommodated with a deferred standing. Biol 1001 instructors will not assess applications for deferred standing only the petition committee for the student"s home faculty will assess dsas. It will be the petition committee"s decision whether deferred standing is granted. If deferred standing is granted, this committee will also set the deadline for writing an alternate examination. Students must petition through their home faculty and petition guidelines differ among the faculties: students in the faculty of science. The dsa application for a deferred examination will be denied and you will need to petition. A course performance summary (cps) will not be required for this petition, but the denied dsa application must be included. The petition committee expects that the supporting documentation provided is dated within 3 business days of the missed exam.
