BIOL 1500 Lecture Notes - Heterotroph, Microorganism, Eukaryote
What is a microbe?
-Anything that a human eye cannot see without a microscope
-Can adapt rapidly to changes in their environments growth
-Occurs by binary fission
-Rapidly produce a new generation
-Generate a great deal of genetic variation
*We are chemo heterotrophs
There are no pathogenic (human disease causing) Archae. Why?
-They live in extreme environments
-Mostly unicellular eukaryotes
-Multiple kingdoms with Eukarya
-Not – plants, animals, fungi

What is an animal?
