Natural passive immunization : placental transfer of igg (systemic abs), breastfeeding : transfer of iga (mucosal abs), Artificial passive immunization : abs from other individuals or immune animals. Abs are very similar to using a drug. The effect of passive immunization (abs) will stay for some time, and then after, they will be gone (the kinetics of passive immunity is like a drug). However, the active immunization is different because we make memory cells, we make abs for the rest of our life. More and more abs are going to be present because of boosters. Passive immunization as a signal transduction therapy for breast cancer, you can control inflammation and the autoimmune diseases. There"s a certain protein receptor called her-2 found on cells, important in signal transduction, binding of the ligand to the receptor on the outside, produces a signal inside proliferation.
