Paraphrase back to the speaker how you think or feel bout the subject in order to let them. Two elements of listening actively: undivided attention, understanding feedback. Undivided attention: use your eyes and your body to show readiness, be positive about listening, use paraverbals signals to show you"re involved, judge the content not the speaker"s style. know you"ve really listened. Let them correct your reflection if they need to. Don"t tell them what they should be thinking : ask questions.
