The way that advertising is suppose to work: There"s tv in advertising market, and the advertisers pays money to the television, the tv gives programming to the audience, and the audience buys the product from the advertisers. The tv doesn"t give anything of economic value to the audience, just a program. The problem is that this doesn"t actually explain what"s going on when these tv signals cross the border.
