Bio social theories have a connection to evolutionary psychology, psychoanalytic theory. Early psychoanalytic theory suggests that all of us are composed of a psych that has 3 components: the base is primordial. This base is a series of raw drives. These raw drives connect us to our ancestors. Freud"s word for this primordial base is id. The next move is the need for social purposes to repress and socialize these drives to make them functional. This makes you feel guilty when you do something wrong. (moral eye in the sky: the superego makes unrealistic demands on people. There is a conflict between this primordial self and this moral eye in the sky. The resolve in this conflict is the ego (you). Some of us are well equipped to deal with this conflict; these are people who behave in a law abiding manner: then there are those act upon there impulses.
