Quicker: the more people that can be handled and higher potential for anti- social conduct. The harder: smaller people handled given resources, and the more difficult it is to condemn someone: relationship between characteristic functioning of the process and the types of behaviour with which it can effectively deal. What is criminal law good for: assess if it is high-speed or low-speed method of social control and it"s effectiveness at handling particular antisocial behaviours, dynamism: potential for change. The kind of criminal process we have depends on our value choices we need a normative model(s) need more than one, but not more than two.
