Snowball: participants refers researcher to another individual with same traits. Don"t want to be contacted or found. Open-ended questions - asks the same questions in the same order. Semi-structures - substitute questions for each person. Unstructured - questions, wording and order vary each time. Direct questions: questions with yes/no answer that you may want to leave these questions until the end. Indirect questions to be interviewee"s true opinion. Structuring questions that move the interview on to the next subject. Take detailed notes afterwards - to make sure you only write what you"re allowed. Backups - notes and recordings - password protected. Leading questions - encourage people to respond in a certain way. Use open-ended questions - don"t use ones with yes or no. Be clear and direct - want simple question so its easily understood.
