Conditions (the state it self is a political formation). Relationship between universalities, the state and the corporations (neo-liberalism), can contribute to broader political structures, (encourage or be counter hegemonic) Theory: a way of explaining social phenomenon (in relation to social theory), a set of ideas about the world, a way of understanding social relations ships and social beings, based on having empirical evidence (something that"s observable or experienced). Bring these together you generate ideas about how society works. Methodology: a philosophy on how best to carry out research, you want to answer a certain kind of question, you find a certain way to approach the research. Methods: techniques for collecting data and empirical evidence (interviews, participant observation, surveys).
