This doesn"t allow for women to have agency: socialization theories idea that from a very young age we are socialized as boys and girls. These roles end up being self-fulfilling we end up living these roles. The problem is that we continue to have profound gendered differentiation and inequality: performative femininity gender is performed on a day to day basis.
