The choices you make as a buyer of goods and services are your consumption choices. Influenced by two factors: consumption possibilities, preferences, consumption possibilities: All the things you can afford to buy. Everything you can buy is limited by your income and prices you must pay. Ex: you spend a big part of your income on gym membership less on movies etc. Or you go to free gym at school and spend more on movies etc. a consumers budget line: Consumption possibilities are limited by income and price of movies and pop. When lisa spends all her income she reaches the limits to her consumption possibilities budget line. Budget line marks the boundary between things household can afford to buy and those that they cant afford to buy. Consumption possibilities change when income or prices change. A rise in income shifts budget line outward but leaves slop unchanged. Change in price changes the slope of the line.
