In terms simply of style, frosh et al. found that 22 out of 78 boys interviewed admitted to forming opinions about other boys on the basis of the brand labels on their clothes. (frost, 2003, p 60) This quote is a perfect example of what the effect that media/advertising has in terms of influence to young boys. We are all victims to the subconscious effects of advertising which does not surprise me that this has effected how boys view other boys based on their choice of label for their clothing. Our view of others in terms of brand is only going to cause further false representation to one"s identity.
