Blazing combat: four issues from 1965 ~ 1966, published by warren comics under james warren, edited and largely written by archie goodwin, an anthology comic of stories from a range of wars. Including the vietnam war, which was taking place at the time: emphasized the cost of war to civilians and combatants on all sides. If you got out of high school and you weren"t married, and you didn"t go to college, you were in that war. And that"s not my idea of what america was. (blazing combat 191) The general public was coming around to see that we were right. They thought it was terrible to take a negative attitude against wars that american boys were fighting in. Which is what they thought blazing combat did. Time: words and sounds take time - panels have duration. 1: unlike many other visual media, the past and the present are still there.
