Starting in late 60s early 17th century- royal scientific society . In 16th century back in university people started going to university because they thought there might be careers in medical and stuff. They learned humanities ( philosophy, literature, art etc) Montaigne had pieces about different topics- they were called essays. In 19th century science started becoming a big deal especially in germany and they created the idea of modern research community and they also created phds. The german universities created the idea of creating weapons. (1950 and 60 they created chlorine gas). Greatness of the planet earth : it is just full of life.
