Pick something, about the reform- mention it was expecially important, and why was it important. Pick 1 issue, and justify it with my own term. Literally pick anything and example, and make references to several sources. Agriculture- single most important wealth of the country, no one know how peasantry organized. All pre-modern state were based primarily on agriculture, the wealth that paid soldiers, and the elite and merchants. Trade came after agriculture, most of the population were based on agriculture. During the sasanid period, crops varied due to trade. Sasanid were able to increase agriculture with a series of canal network which did not have access to water. 3 main areas: sawad ( is the area of euphraties and tigres river)- wheat was produced a lot after the canal system , sawad is in iraq, diyala a river from iran goes into tigres river, khuzestan. Areas where there was not much rain or water, there was the qanat.
