M a h a r a j | 1. On a global scale, mental health is not given nearly the same amount of attention and treatment as physical health. It is crucial that society recognizes the importance of mental health to an individual"s overall well being. The policies currently set in place for mental health are not as effective as the treatment and care for physical health. However, improvements have been made over the past few decades. Due to the stigmatization of mental health, the services offered has been undermined and it has also led to many suffering in silence because they are afraid to speak up and get the necessary help they need. There are many factors to a person"s mental health and recognizing their loved one need help is evidently more beneficial than ignoring their needs just because you are afraid of what others will say.
