In liberalism, it is believed that the better way of providing health care, housing, education should be handled by the community. Each person is on their own, they should have their own say about themselves. In canada, whether youre healthy or not, you still have to contribute in taxes to subsidize other people. In a public system, the state pays for the doctors. In the us, it"s the private health insurance that pay the health care services. In canada, doctors are their own businesses, they bill the state. In the uk, physicians are hired by the state to work. Yes, b/c this can serve as a reflection on how were doing as citizens. No, b/c politics could get involved so the importance of the convenience for the people is forgotten.
