Always have hope because things are always changing look for contradictions. Social issues have more then one side. Before you can dismiss or critically asses the argument of another you have too fully understand what that argument is. Society is complex and has many parts and levels and has a variety of institutions and people. To negate that which is trying to negate you is a positive gesture. Question what you are told or have been encouraged to believe. If it is false it will not stand up to scrutiny. If it has truth it will pass scrutiny. All knowledge begins with the practice of questioning.
