Session 6 managing psychosocial hazards part 1. Lori dupont, r. n. was 37 and worked in the operating room @ hotel dieu grace hospital in windsor, ontario. Plenty of warning signs of trouble in the months before nurse lori dupont"s final shift. In february of 2005, she had broken up w/ marc daniel, a 50-year-old married anesthesiologist, after he tried to kill himself. The 2 had met while working in the hospital, where dr. daniel had a history of harassing nurses, both verbally and physically. When he was released from hospital after his suicide attempt, dr. daniel returned to work, where he intimidated and stalked ms. dupont, a 36-year-old single mother. On the morning of saturday, november 12, 2005, lori reported for work in the recovery room. She had requested not to work in close proximity to dr. daniel, yet that morning before most of the others arrived, he also went into the operating room, where he stabbed her.
