Acceptable loss: its okay if they"re killing people, if they"re making a profit and do well. Deal with our complex relationship with food, can cause guilt and conflicted emotions, need to look at food as a commodity. Food is a basic part of survival - necessity for life. Traditional vs industrial forms of food production - used to eat parts of the environment or gardens. Involve the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides - before ww2 used natural methods.
