Ariel in little mermaid rst desires independence and entry into the human world but eventually desires prince eric. She trades her voice to ursula for legs/access to the prince and his world. Reveals the many costs, pleasures, and dangers of women"s access to the human world. Sells nds that the little ambition others believe ariel has can be viewed as reductionist.
