Muliticulturalism in a canadian society, is built on the ideology of tolerance and ideally acceptance of di erent cultures regardless of personal believes. It is di erent from assimilation, which practised mainly in the usa, because we are not erasing their culture. Immigrants are integrated into canadian society, the di erent cultures create vivid diversity in clothes, food and music. Inherently, the di erence from canadian to american culture respectively, is that they become an asset to our society not an inconvenience of integration. The lack of action to fail de ne the word of : multicultural can speak both, poorly or well on our behalf.
