This has led to a profound identity crisis for recha, in which she has lost any intrinsic sense of value and thus only assigns extrinsic value to herself. The fire is representative of this feeling which is consuming her thought and imagination. Furthermore, she sees her saviour (the templar) as an angelic figure and not a mere mortal.
