The book does not contain any historical references that can help date the book. For some the book of job is a frontal assault to a one dimension retribution of categories of biblical wisdom. One of the objectives is to probe the nature of the older universe (explores the nature of evil and su ering) The story attempts to analyze the nature/moral order of the universe by looking at the life of the man job. Job is morally upstanding individual, he is wealthy and has a nice family. There is a divine council and in the meeting, g-d expresses his pride.
