Romanticists viewed nature as divine, pure, sublime and as a source of healing for the spirit. Nature is viewed as something that can"t be controlled. It should be revered since it"s more powerful and grand than the individual person. Industrial revolution: use of innovation in technology was used to improve methods of resource collection to more effectively use natural resources and turn a profit from them.
