oWarned that “fantasy horror” for children doesn’t sell.
oDark matter & double audience (the author pretends to address the child when in
fact s/he is addressing the adult behind the child) concerned critics. People found
the horror aspect in the story very creepy and unsettling – which they did not find
suitable for a young audience.

Horror fiction is really as republican as a banker in a three piece suit (stephen king) Darkness (cont"d: the monstrous, monster: originally: a mythical creature which is part animal and part human, or combines elements of two or more animal forms, and is frequently of great size and ferocious appearance.
