Jason: his father was aeson, he was from thessaly, he gets a lot of help from hera, he has a cruel uncle, named pelias. His family sends him away to chrion the centaur, so that he can be raised and protected by him away from his uncle: he eventually returns to claim his throne at iolkos, while wearing one sandal. Jason comes to a river, and there is an old woman who asks him to help her cross (hera in disguise). He puts her on his head, and half way through the river he loses one of his sandals. Colchis is the very end of the known world for the greeks, and its important because that is where medea comes from. When he gets to colchis, king aeetes, the son of helios, has 3 tasks for him: plow the eld with re breathing oxen, sow the dragon teeth of cadmus, get the golden eece from the dragon.
