ESSAY CameraAngles and visual aspects created film focalization. They focus on characters perspectives Appendix-bolded time frames at the top . Identify each sequence in relation to focalization, and framing. Do not include plot within essay, only comparison analysis, discussing the significance of the focalization and framing. One Text: Big Fish/ Movie & another text/different media (from second term) How does the medium affect framing techniques? How is the viewer encouraged to view the story? Structure: Big Fish First, and then the second chosen text. Don’t go back and forth Ideas: Kid’s being embarrassed of their parents; we see through the son’s eyes, not Edward’s How do focalization and framing affect your perception of the story National Narratives Dominant vs. Counter/ Alternate Narrative Who controls the reading? Ex. Grade 10 Canadian History In the development of american democracy, focuses on the west and the frontier and as landscape ( think of it as a political and social concept)
