THE CRUCIBLE Aristotle and Aquinas believe that justice is an absolute good: Justice is the result of Good character. VENICE Temptation of the suitors Portia judges Morocco (and others) by appearance. They belief there is only room for Christians (Portia, Antonio and Bassanio). Casket game and the bond are somewhat similar. Lives were ruined due to them. Portia comes up with an argument which is outside of law, she reads the bond very closely, and literally. That is how she saves Antonio. Contract law doesn't work that literally. The law that Portia evokes applies to Shylock only, as he is a JEWISH money lender.
