These cells are part of your acquired immune system. Infection after you get redness and selling, the macrophages and neutrophils attack the infection, then you can get pus in the area which is a collection of dead white blood cells and debris. This rst line of defence is called your innate immune response, its something that you born with. The adaptive or acquired immune response refers to special cells int he lymphatic system that can recognize foreign invaders based on the antigens that they had seen for. A foreign invader enters the body, and the innate immune system responds quickly, and then with time the adaptive immune system kicks in to ght and kill the invader. This takes some time, which is in the beginning days of an infection it gets worse and worse until the acquired immune system comes in. Adaptive immune system: b cells, t cells (cd4 & cd8 cells, cd8 cells can kill all sorts of things.
