New research is almost never accepted right away, its rst met by strong resistance and people ridiculing them for what they have found. A profession is only as good and strong as the research that it produces. Research is about: nding solutions to problems in a logical orderly systematic fashion. In research, most of the medicines that we take have never been tested on women, it is just assumed that women and men will react the same to it. We have responsibilities as professionals: to remain current on the research, to nd new research. To mess with you, advertisers use parity claims: there is nothing better than crest for ghting cavities , the average person would think that this means that crest is the best, but this is not the case. This claim is saying that crest is probably the same as colgate or any other brand.
