Ankle ligament tests: eversion/talar tilt test, designed to test the integrity of the less injured and larger medial "deltoid ligament, calcaneus and talus are taken into passive eversion, positive test demonstrates instability when compared bilaterally. The patella: patellofemoral pain syndrome, chondromalacia patella, dislocated/subluxed patella. Fractured patella: upside down triangle, base of the patella is at the top, apex is the pointy part and sits on the bottom. Chondromalacia patella: reference to the amount of wear and tear to the articular surface of the patella and according to. Caillat, there are three progressive stages: swelling and softening of the articular cartilage, fissuring of the softened articular cartilage. Lots of noise that comes out of the joint. Similar in presentation with pfps: grade 1 is if it"s soft and chunky. Shave off the loose fluffy stuff: grade 3 big chunk is missing out of patella surface.
