Document Summary

Condensation formed on the sides of the beaker. Temperature of water (room temp) with metal= 27. Metals are able to distribute kinetic energy faster than water, therefore they need less heat energy to raise its temperature compared to water. There where multiple errors that may have occurred when performing this lab. The rst being an error in the reading of the thermometer, this is a very common human error. Another source of error that may have occurred was a lack of precision when pouring the water into the 300ml beaker resulting in too little or much water in the beaker. This greatly affects the lab as this measurement was part of the calculations. Improvements the rst improvement that could be made was the cleaning of the metal before measuring and use, this would ensure there are no foreign objects affecting the metals calculated weight.
