It is striking to see the history of marijuana and how very much legal it once was. It was banned due to so called reefer madness"; where articles depicted mexicans and blacks as beast, who would smoke marijuana, play devils music and heaped disrespect and viciousness on readers , which were white. Many years have passed and now the cannabis culture are on the verge on being legalized in canada. Cannabis also has surprising health benefits and even the rest-of-plant has thousands of usage in production. Prohibition diverts from important priorities, the government agencies waste too much energy into enforcing authorities to prevent use of marijuana. Meanwhile, social public welfare and relief programs are stepped and dismissed. Our provinces should instead consider how they can make billons from simply taxing and regulating cannabis like alcohol. A huge projection increase is expected similar to what"s being experienced in washington state and colorado, where legal cannabis stores have been set up.
