Document Summary

Music consists of sound but not all sound is considered as music. Music is considered as an arrangement of sounds different cultures will use different instruments to create sound and arrange it into music. The anahata nada is known as the un-struck sound meaning it is a sound that is not produced by a physical act. This is represented by the om symbol. Another symbol used is the shiva cosmos dance in which shiv holds a drum called a damaru in his hand which represents time and rhythm. Time has a rhythm 60 beats per min and when that rhythm stops so does time. All existing things have a sympathetic resonance frequency including the human body. Loud sounds create vibration which is very powerful. The point of indian music is to harness this power. On the human body there are points or chakras that respond to the resonance frequency.
