Challenges: susan douglas- we live in a more narcissistic, isolated and ethnocentric society than ever before. Homophily: people tend to associate with other people who are similar to themselves, results in the person"s social network to be homogenous. Impacts where you get information from, how you judge others and who you genuinely interact with. People might have access to a wide variety of sources through icts, but can be reluctant to diversify our perspectives even though the information is accessible on the internet.
