Divergent light rays are those that propagate from a source, traveling in all directions and moving further apart over time. Simply put, they are light rays moving away from each other. Converging light rays are those that, after reflection, move towards each other until they converge at a certain point (the focal point). Simply put, they are light rays moving closer together.
