Comes in two ways: philosophical behaviourism and psychological. Verificationism is a position of a claim that is needed to exhaust. It needs to meet its conditions to determine if it is true or false: some people think it is false, we can answer questions on the nature of mind by analyzing the meaning of the mind. Need to find statement that verifies it. One way of answering this question is: john is in the certain brain state. Problem is: is that mental refers to conscious experiences. If you say headache is in the head, it is reserved to the person that is experience it. You won"t be able to detect it in the brain. Brain state is open to the public.
