We haven"t dealt with justice in the idea of forms. There is one characteristic of a just soul/polis. There are 4 characteristics of an unjust soul. However, there is a detour, it begins with a series of objections by adamantus. The first 2 waves are more specific, the 3rd wave is central to plato"s republic. The 3rd wave moves deeper into the philosophical dimension to the political and psychological dimension that it already has. The division of labour, each person should do the job they are naturally suited for. Socrates says that women are different from men but the differences don"t make them incapable of performing the same functions. Their natures aren"t different, the rational decision making fundamental to being a ruler is what matters. The differences aren"t relevant to ruler ship. Women are in some cases physically weaker but some individual men are stronger, smarted than some individual men.
