Trudeau appointed people to the senate and said that they"re free agents. In no way do they represent the canadian population. Before, the senators needed 5k property to sit in the senate interest of money limiting the democratic will of people. We don"t have checks + balances on the executive. If they have a majority govt - the prime minister holds the most power.
