Offer us basic information about the rule of the political game. 1867, outlined various institutions in canada: divided areas of jurisdiction between federal and provincial governments, this all changed in the 1982 constitution. Emphasis changed because of charter or rights and freedoms: not just different institutions of government, but between government"s constitution and citizens constitution, also changed role of judiciary. After 1982 constitution, role of judiciary is more of an american style: any legislation passed in parliament does not violate the rights of its citizens. Not everyone has a single document called the constitution. Even in countries where there are written constitutions in canada, there are unwritten parts known as constitutional conventions: constitutional convention: practices established over time even though they aren"t written in the constitution, it"s accepted over time. The queen and her representatives are the formal executives of canada.
