Social psychology: its the study of behaviour, scienti cally, and the study of individuals as a function of social stimuli: rely on experiments a lot, focusses on individuals within groups. Impression formation: its looking at our impressions of other people, and how they are produced. This is because you see what you want to see, and our impressions about people are misguided by knowledge that we have, and things we expect to see based on previous experience. Kensington market 2006: woman on a bike, guy gets out of his car, starts attacking her, breaks her bike, people intervene and he goes to jail. Attractiveness: hard to de ne, but we know it when we see it. Height affects attractiveness: the taller guy wins, for males, each inch of height after 5 foot 3 inches raises your salary, powerful dominant males like politicians, overestimate their own height because height is equal to power.
