Document Summary
There are 3 types of neural circuits: linear: connected to bipolar- then going to ganglion cells. 7 receptors is present, each one is getting their own separate line . In fovea, we have the highest acuity, each ganglion cells getting input from above each can get their own connect line. Cone: mediate our color vision (system good at resolving small detail). Rods: black/white in peripheral vision: convergent: (pulling info) their info goes to one ganglion cell below. Is that when you see a very dim light- you can see with your peripheral and when you look, the light might disappear: inhibitory: (is the most common one that we will see more frequently). Converging information, but the differences in some of receptors connected in such a way that if they absorb light they will signal. Cell on edge is wired up in inhibitory fashion.
