How do you make groups equivalent: random assignment to groups, by doing this, you are assuming all individual variables are being evenly distributed among groups so that groups are essentially equivalent. This is not the same as random sampling. Correlational method: measures the degree of relationship between 2 variables, with this method to manipulate or control variables. Rather, naturally occurring changes on both variables are measured to see if they are related: this helps to make predictions, each person has two scores associated with them. Changes that occur on two variables measured with each individual that is checked for correlations. The stronger they are, the stronger you can predict the value. The numerical signs will tell you the direction of the relationship. Friday, september 22, 2017: in a cc, you can score a number between 0 -1.
